Matthew Hrinchuk, 36, was last seen on Saturday, March 25 around 11:30 p.m. at his Dracut home, according to the Dracut Police Department.

His phone and backpack were found near Aiken Bridge, said his sister Jenna Hrinchuk who is active in the push to find Matthew.

"You’ve struggled with your mental health for so many years," Jenna wrote in a Facebook post directed at Matthew. "I hope you are joking right now but in my heart I feel like you really have ended this constant battle you have been facing. I hope wherever you are, you’re no longer in pain."

As a variety of searches continue to fail to locate the beloved man, his sister suggests that Matthew may only be located by a dive team searching the Merrimack River.

"I was told no dive team is initiated unless there’s solid evidence of entrance into the water," Jenna said. "Although everything points to that."

Jenna herself has gone looking for her brother along the river with other family members.

"I honestly don’t know what’s worse.. finding him in there or never knowing," she said.

Matthew is described as a caucasian male, standing 5-foot-10 and weighing 250 pounds. He may be wearing beige pants, a black hoodie, and a Grateful Dead maroon baseball hat.

Officials request that anyone with information about Matthew contact the Dracut Police Department.
